For the first time a craft beer has gone on tap at the GARDNERS INN  BLACKHEATH. Young Henry’s NEWTOWNER was tapped yesterday. We had the first two schooners of the keg, actually we had the next four as well, then someone else got in on the act and had a couple. Hopefully it will be a successful trial and that it will be the first of a trend. In the interests of accuracy the GARDENERS does have James Squires and Coopers and has had Fat Yak, but let’s hope the Young Henrys will prove a hit. I don’t expect that this pub will be able to run more than one tap of craft beer at a time, I suspect that the regulars will take some converting, but you have to start somewhere.
