I think I started off with this beer a bit too cold ,which I took and poured straight out of the fridge. I didn’t get much of an aroma to start with but after giving it a short spell I started to pick up a nutty (hazelnut ?) aroma combined with roast malts, I poured with a nice tight white head which lasted for some time and is quite a deep rich dark colour. It is now starting to develop some sweetness after an initial dry or slight bitterness. The beer has a full bodied mouth-feel. I am not sure how many of these in a row I could drink but having at a higher than fridge temperature makes it a better beer as the malts and aroma builds up

On the bottle it has Stone brewing- Spotlight Series and Drew and Steve’s so I leave it to the reader to decide who actually produces this beer, however it is any help #Untappd calls it Drew & Steve’s Imperial Mutt Brown Ale (Spotlight Series).  I cant exactly remember but at a guess I would say that I bought this beer at @leuracellars

Stone brewery notes : …… “this hefty brown ale”— ………..”Given layers of flavor from Vienna, Victory and Chocolate Wheat malts, and warming, refined sweetness from Honey Malt and turbinado sugar, it’s a rich and soothing beer brewed with respect to traditional English methods and New World innovation.”  I don’t know what New World innovation means. @StoneBrewingCo @leuracellars
