CASEYS MURRAYS & AKASHA

A NEW BREWERY

I was at the STATION BAR in Katoomba yesterday,
Came across Casey’s Beers for the first time, a new brewery to me which is located in Lawson in the Blue Mountains,
I was told the brewer is Pat Casey who did and may stil run a home brew shop in Western Sydney  The beer is called Lounge, it’s a slightly dry. pilsner inspired ale at 5.2%,
hopped with Ella, Tettnang and Saaz.
It is good to see another brewery coming on line locally and I will have to try and keep an eye on its progress

Murrays Ronny Dunkel, Dunkelweizen 5.5%.  A Bavarian Style Dark Wheat beer, which had a nice touch of sweetnes so I had a couple.

Akasha IPA Hopsmith IPA 7.2% Hopsmith is a ‘West Coast’ style IPA and “all about the hops.  Triple dry-hopped, the all American grown hop varieties are allowed to shine with citrus, pine, fruity notes and a nice dry, bitter finish. ”
Not a bad IPA but a bit heavy on hops for my tastes

As far as I can find out neither the Station Bar nor Caseys is on twitter but both are on Facebook
