A collection of beers had over the last few days
I had a Mudgee Smokey Red 5.1% at the Station Bar. Good to see Mudgee Brewing putting out beers like this, it is a nice Smokey dark coloured ale, maybe not the smokiest around but definitely the best beer on tap on the night I thought. I also had a a Prickely Moses Bad Ass “Tailpipe” 7.1% which I have come across before both in bottles and on tap.
Had a refreshing Six Strings Heferweizen 5.2% one very hot afternoon which went down very well.
A Killer Sprocket “Hey Juniper “; Wychwood Imperial Red Deep Ruby Ale 4.7% and a Williams Bros premium Red Ale 4.5%. Both good but the deep Rec Ruby was my favourite of the two. I had a bit of trouble finding information about the Williams Bros, a Scottish brewery which also puts out the Froach Gruit beer
The Japanese Coedo Beniaka Lager 7%was a bit of a surprise ,dark and malty with hops not much in evidence I thought and which turned out to be a really good beer and one that might be a beer that could be extremely sessionable. Apparently brewed with sweet potatoes, I will be trying to fin more of them
