After being away from this blog I hope to be able to get back into it again.
I have been involved in moving house and renovating and all that kind of stuff but I have a backlog of stuff to put in if I can get it all sorted
BATCH BREWING COMPANY
To start of I went to the Batch Brewery in Marrickville the other day
It was a hot as hell day so a brewery was a good place to be
I quite liked the place
They had tasters glasses $5.00 long necks $9.00 and growlers available for about $22.00 depending on the beer
The glasses where mason jars (jam jars) I don’t know why – just to be different I suppose
There where four beers on tap the day I was there
Alice Wheat beer which I thought was the best on the day given the heat, there was also a pale a #1 pale ale and an amber
The number 1 apparently was the precursor to the pale ale, Ambers are not usually my favourite beer but this on wasn’t bad
I had the chance to talk to one of the brewers while I was there and he told me that they where going to add a couple of stouts to the list, I wondered whether given the heat would stouts move but he seemed quite sure that Sydney drinkers liked their summer stouts.

TUDOR HALL REDFERN
As I had to go to Redfern, not a place I know well, I dropped in to the Tudor Hall Hotel for a bit of a look. It was very quite but it was early too hot and too much driving still to do so I had a lemon squash. The pub looked nice enough to me but it was early afternoon, I have no idea what it would be like late on a weekend night.
THE VIC ON THE PARK
Went to the Vic for lunch and had a couple of Matilda Bay beers, Little Ripper Lager which was a first for me and Ruby Tuesday Amber which I have come across before.
As far as I can remember this is the first time I have been to this pub which has come up quite frequently lately in various blogs and event advertising. it is not hard to see why the place is so popular
